Eric Somerville is the Interim Chief Operating Officer at Douglass Park Asset Management, where he plays a pivotal role in supporting the firm’s next chapter of growth. His work focuses on enhancing organizational processes, fostering team culture, and maximizing impact. With a primary emphasis on back-office and middle-office functions, including investor relations and operational support, he collaborates closely with the Managing Member to realize Douglass Park’s strategic vision.

Before joining Douglass Park, Mr. Somerville served as Chief Executive Officer at Venture for America, a national nonprofit dedicated to fostering pathways to entrepreneurship. During his tenure, he successfully led the organization’s return to in-person programming post-COVID, launched its second strategic plan, and introduced a refreshed vision and mission. He also expanded support for alumni engagement, venture growth, and strategic partnerships. With over a decade of experience in the social impact space, Mr. Somerville has developed a strong track record of delivering resources and programs that empower individuals, families, and seniors to thrive. His expertise includes deep community engagement and leadership development.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Somerville is an active member of the community, serving on the Board of Directors for Business Volunteers Maryland and the Samaritan Community in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mr. Somerville earned a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership and Social Change from the Maryland University of Integrative Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
